Edmond Mobile Meals Launches Innovative Route Sponsorship Program for Local Businesses

Edmond Mobile Meals is excited to introduce our new Adopt-a-Route program an impactful way for local businesses and civic groups to support our mission while giving back to the community.

The program offers local businesses the opportunity to sponsor one of the organization’s 19 delivery routes for a full year at an annual cost of $2,400. Each route sponsorship helps cover the meal preparation costs and provides 400 meals annually to homebound seniors. It also provides a unique, hands-on way for community businesses to give back by participating in monthly meal deliveries.

“We’re excited to partner with the local business community in a new and meaningful way,” said Cristi Twenter, Chief Executive Officer of Edmond Mobile Meals. “By adopting a route, sponsors ensure that vulnerable seniors receive not only nutritious meals but also the human connection that can make all the difference in someone’s day.”

How to Get Involved

Local businesses interested in adopting a route can complete the Adopt-A-Route sponsorship form below, or contact the Edmond Mobile Meals office directly. Sponsors can elect to provide employees to deliver their route with commitment that can be tailored to each organization’s availability and resources, making it an accessible and meaningful opportunity for ongoing community engagement.

Each sponsor will receive a comprehensive toolkit, including a route map, sponsorship guide, volunteer onboarding resources, and an annual impact report to track their contribution’s real-world effects.

What if the weather is bad and Mobile Meals is unable to deliver?

At least once a year, Mobile Meals sends out “Blizzard Bags” that contain enough non-perishable food to tide you over for a couple days in case we can’t deliver meals. We encourage you to always keep some basic food on hand in case of emergencies.

What if I have to be gone when the meal is going to be delivered?

Call Mobile Meals at (405) 341-3111 BEFORE 9:15 a.m. if you have to be gone. If possible, call at least the day before you will be gone. You can leave a message on our answering machine if we are not able to answer the phone.

What does it cost to have the Mobile Meals?

We will never ask clients to give us their income, therefore, it is up to each individual to let us know how much they can contribute per meal. We have clients who contribute $0.50-$5.00 per meal. We are not a government funded program, therefore, anything you can do to help us cover the cost of the meal is helpful. If you cannot contribute we do not want that to be the reason you don’t get the meal, so give us a call!

What if I am the primary caretaker of my spouse who is homebound, but I am not homebound?

In this situation, we would love to bring a meal to both of you. We know that being a caretaker is a lot of work and want to ease your load.

What kind of food do you serve?

We strive to serve a nutritionally balanced meal each and every day. For some, this meal is the only thing they will eat each day and we understand the importance we play in their lives. If you would like to see the specific items, please view the menu. We will always keep the menu up to date.
