Each year, gifts to the Edmond Mobile Meals Annual Fund provide the essential support needed to sustain our mission and serve seniors year-round. Half of the homebound seniors we serve are considered low-income and receive meals at no cost. We believe that no older adult should have to choose between food and other necessities, which is why we provide nutritious meals to qualifying Edmond residents regardless of their ability to pay.

Contributions to the Annual Fund help cover the mission-critical costs of meal preparation year-round. Your gift helps provide nourishment, independence, and peace of mind to some of our community's most vulnerable neighbors.

Endowment Fund

A gift to the Edmond Mobile Meals Endowment Fund is an investment in the future of our mission and the seniors we serve.

Established in 2012 through the generosity of the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, the Harris Foundation, and other community supporters, the Endowment Fund is professionally managed by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Each year, the fund provides an unrestricted distribution that helps support Edmond Mobile Meals' operations and strengthens our long-term financial stability.

Endowment gifts create a lasting legacy by ensuring that future generations of seniors continue to receive nutritious meals, meaningful connections, and the support they need to remain independent in their own homes. An endowment contribution is also a meaningful way to honor or memorialize a loved one, client, volunteer, staff member, board member, or community leader whose life and service have made a difference. Unlike annual gifts that support today's needs, endowment gifts continue working for our mission year after year, creating an enduring source of support for the future.

Remembering Terri, Continuing Her Legacy

Terri Lee Horton Memorial Fund – Edmond Mobile Meals Endowment Fund

Terri Horton was the Assistant Director at Edmond Mobile Meals from 2016 to 2021. Terri was a bright light in this world, and we were honored to spend 5 years working beside her to help fight senior hunger and make the community a better place for all. She lived out her authentic passion for kindness to all and service to the vulnerable. Terri passed away on June 14, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Terri was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, which reoccurred in 2018. She bravely found and worked through her treatments with grace, courage and the support of her family, friends, and care teams.

Edmond Mobile Meals accepts in-kind donations of supplies that we use daily for meal preparation, delivery, and general operations. A “Wish List” can be found on Amazon where items can be purchased and shipped directly to us.

We do not accept in-kind donations of food items due to Health Department regulations.

In-kind donations are acknowledged with a letter including a detailed description of the items donated. Per IRS regulations, the donor is responsible for determining and claiming the fair market value of the donation.
