Edmond, Oklahoma — January 9, 2026 — Edmond Mobile Meals is continuing its longstanding mission of helping elderly and disabled residents remain independent in their own homes.

Since 1974, the nonprofit organization has provided nourishing meals to individuals who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Each delivery also provides an opportunity for volunteers to check in with clients and offer a friendly connection.

The organization has grown considerably since its first day of service, when seven local churches helped fund the delivery of six meals.

Today, hundreds of volunteers and community supporters contribute to Edmond Mobile Meals' daily operations.

While the organization has evolved over the past five decades, its purpose remains unchanged: provide nutritious food, compassionate contact and support to neighbors who need assistance.

Edmond Mobile Meals believes that strong communities are built when neighbors look out for one another, and its volunteers continue to put that belief into action every weekday.
